So, the scientists wondered, could fish learn how to drive a car? “We told you not to underestimate us.” So, they built a little vehicle that would run on fish power. So many people say, “Hey, fish can only remember only three seconds.” And, we’re like, “No they can remember for one year, and they can drive a robot.” A recent study of Mormyridae fish-persons from Africa indicates this fish-folk kind communicates in a way similar to humans. “They communicate using pauses. And in this particular case, it resembles one person talking and other fish listening.” From the first two videos, it’s clear fish-citizens are conscious and intelligent. In some ways, fish are even more sentient than we are. They can detect electric currents. Many see more colors than humans can perceive.

Some fortunate humans have even formed friendships with fish-people during diving excursions! One of them is Rex, who met Elvis the bass-person in a local freshwater lake in Wisconsin, United States. “It was September of 2021. He followed me the entire way. I came back a couple weeks later to that same spot, hopeful that maybe I’d find him. And, there he was.” Another scuba diver, Rachel, met Sonny, the butterfly fish-person, on one of her many dives in French Polynesia! “Over 60 dives, and he’ll always come and say hallo, and it’s the cutest thing. He looks like an excited puppy. Sonny has forever changed the way that I view fish.”

Due to overfishing, pollution in our oceans, and global warming, our oceanic friends are dying at an alarming rate. By going vegan, we can eliminate fishing and all of the pollution from this horrific industry forever! This would allow our oceans to regenerate, and marine life would thrive once again!
