American rapper David Styles (vegan), known famously as “Styles P,” has been creating hip-hop music professionally for almost 30 years. Styles P has been plant-based for almost a decade. Last year, Supreme Master Television caught up with Styles P at Vegandale in Los Angeles, a festival hosted in major cities across the United States which celebrates all the fantastic benefits of veganism through food, music, and the arts. Styles P also tells us that the benefit of going plant-based transcends the physical world and reaches our spirit. “I think people think that plant-based is for the health-minded. I think being plant-based is great for your spirit.”

Our next influential vegan artist is Will.i.am, co-founder of The Black Eyed Peas, a hip-hop ensemble that has won fifty-nine awards internationally, including six Grammy Awards. He cites the vegan diet for helping him lose unwanted weight, lower his blood pressure and cholesterol, feel less stress, have more energy, and sleep better. Will.i.am also promotes his vegan diet in the Black Eyed Peas song, “Vibrations pt.1, pt.2.” “I’m going to eat the plant-based. I am not chewing on food with two eyes and a face. Got a new attitude. Got to stay elevated. […] Time to motivate.” ~ The Black Eyed Peas

And finally, our last vegan influencer in our hip-hop show is Jermaine Dupri (vegan), who is not only known for his rapping ability but also as a Grammy Award-winning record producer, songwriter, vegan entrepreneur, and DJ! In 2018, Jermaine Dupri partnered with PETA and launched a campaign called “Feel the Beets.” The following year, while working with PETA, Mr. Dupri hosted a fully-vegan Thanksgiving for families in need. “It’s something that I feel like God wanted us to be like this, as opposed to being the way that we have turned out.” In 2021, he launched his vegan ice cream brand, JD’s Vegan.
