I love to go for walks any time of the day, and so I would like to share a healthy walking tip with you. There are many health benefits to a post-meal stroll. Walking after eating helps control blood sugar levels. Studies have shown that light walking following a meal, even if it’s for only two to five minutes, helped moderate blood sugar levels. This may delay or prevent a food coma as well as indigestion, bloating and stomach problems. It also improves digestion of the meal just eaten, since movement gently stimulates the digestive system, which can assist in the passage of food. It may even help you sleep better. Walking after dinner in particular can help regulate our circadian rhythms, which helps us fall asleep more easily. Additionally, improved digestion equates to better gut health, which can positively affect sleep quality.

“You got me. What?”

“I’m stuck on you!”
